CXL: standard o transepiteliale?
Lunedì, 01 Dicembre 2014

Recent studies (Dua et al., in Am J of Ophthalmol. 2011 Sept 17) have shown how the corneas treated with the standard technique show swelling of the stromal nerve endings with disintegration of the axonal membrane and loss of the its continuity inside the treated zone.

These changes were absent in the cornea treated with transepithelial CXL.
